Wallets & API keys
A wallet is a Binance API key pair plus the environment it trades on.
Wallet types
| Type | Endpoint | Funds |
|---|---|---|
spot_testnet | testnet.binance.vision | Paper (test funds) |
futures_testnet | testnet.binancefuture.com | Paper (test funds) |
spot_live | api.binance.com | Real |
futures_live | fapi.binance.com | Real |
A bot on a testnet wallet is a paper bot: real market prices, no real orders. Only live wallets trade real funds, and only live bots appear on the leaderboard.
Adding keys
- In Binance, create an API key. Enable Reading and Spot/Futures trading. Do not enable withdrawals.
- Restrict the key to the AiTrade server IP if you can.
- Paste the key and secret in Wallets & API Keys → Add. The secret is encrypted before it is stored and is never shown again.
Rotating and deleting
When you add a wallet or use Update keys, AiTrade checks the key pair with a read-only signed request to that wallet's Binance environment. The wallet is marked valid only when Binance accepts it; if Binance cannot be reached (for example a geo-block) it stays unverified, which counts as not valid. A wallet that bots still use cannot be deleted — remove or reassign those bots first.
Stored keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and are never sent back to the browser or written to logs. Rotate a key on Binance immediately if you suspect it leaked.
